Top most Firing IT companies in India

1) IBM — Right now this is the most firing company for IT professionals. In the last 6 months, this company has fired nearly 20% of their employees because of BG check and performance issues. This is the most insecure company from an IT professional’s point of view. They don’t have any strategic plans at HR policies regarding employee security. No appraisals (maximum 10%).

2) Accenture — This is second top most firing company. The firing rate is around 5%. This depends upon outsourced projects; they have a unique system where Accenture development centers around the world bid for a project coming into the company. Currently Philippines centre is taking the cake and the Indian centers are in a firing mode.

3) WIPRO — Firing people with very frequent back ground checks and firing them with out even experience letters and relieving letters (will mention as terminated from services)but will promise the employees that they will retain them. After the project is over they will fire away. Will threaten of criminal cases against such employees if they oppose the move and has also filed against some.

4) Intel — Recently joined the league. Running in heavy losses, hence firing 3000 employees in the Banglore center in a phased out manner.

5) CTS — Has a steady firing policy (checking the Educational background and previous employment and also employee performance in work). In a Recent HCL walk-in, around 50% attendees were from this company. Sadly the I-pods have not helped them.

6) CSC — Excellent package but fires folks in Background check and those on bench regularly. Recently fired 400+ employees from its subsidiary Covansys.

7) Satyam — Currently stopped firing. The Attrition rate is very high. No firing from 2005 until now when 1000 employees were fired in Hyderabad.

8. Patni —- They fired so many employees that currently they are facing understaffing and deficiency with number of employees. Very high attrition rate.

9) Keane India —- This USA based company is always involved in firing employees. Although they proudly say that they dont have hire and fire policy. Recently they fired java and as400 professionals after which most of the employees have started to pack their bags. Employees change this company within 1 year.

So take care before accepting offers from these companies.

Secure IT companies in India

1) Microsoft — Has projects till 2050.

2) EDS — Most secure company in India. Not laid off any of its employees even during 2001. Has lots of projects in Defense and financial areas

3) HP — Dream Company. In-house and outsourced projects

4) TCS — A govt. Company.

5) AOL, Google and Yahoo – Best companies to work with, great job satisfaction as well as great salary and work environment. Rarely fires an employee. As they are internet based companies’ they offer lots of opportunities to grow.

6) HCL — A good company to be in. Called as a retirement company.

7) HSBC— This is the most secure company. It has never fired any employee, even when they know that the employee is showing fake experience.

8. Aricent— a communication based software company, has never fired any employee and gives great perks & incentives, lot of projects in kitty. Minimal level of attrition.

9) KPIT Cumminns Infosystems Limited —- This is the most secure company not known to many. It has presently acquired CG Smith, Bangalore and has lots of projects in pipe line. Acquisitions plans will continue.

  6. Yeah, HCL has started a new policy (virtual), no hike, get paid iff u r billed, no A/c after 6.00, no fresh recruits, strict office timings, salary deduction for shadow/unbilled resources,…

  8. The most safest Company in India…Infosys has also started firing. I am one of the layoff victims. There were many people fired on April 1st along with me citing performance reasons.

    Now type google for “Infosys firing” and you will see many results and no longer you get the “did you mean Infosys hiring”….

    Infosys has sadly lost its soul and joined the other companies who are resortign to firing….

  9. I am Ex-Employee of Mindtree…They also firing people…. Mindtree way i will explain…
    1) Calling Employee by HR and tell him that Project is not there…Please do resign by personal reason.. Else we will force to make you resign by Harressment…
    2) If Employee try to justify his capabilities they will force him to sign PIP ( Performance improvement plan).. and they will tell all managers that he has got Attitude problems..
    3)PIP consist of a mini project.All the week he will be called by HR and will be mentally harrsssed… If the Employee done that assignment…. they will call him and say you need done well ..so u can get job else where.. please give your ID card and you need to vacate the place ..take all your bellongings..your ID and Acsess will not work today onwards..
    4)Mindtree HR will tell you need to resign by end of the Day..else we will say you where absconding from office… and we will terminate you…
    5)Poor Employee noting can be done..He will resign.

  11. Mindtree is one of the most Drama company. When anybudy join, they mention CLASS values. Caring , Learning etc. which are public stunt. In actaul no meaning.
    Also in quarter report of MArch 2009, they mentioned till now we have not fire single person.

    The company really is bad. they hired us for a process and got us trained. then the process went back so they called us and said we need not come to office again as we have been laid off.

    one day we come back from office we are not sure we are going back to office or not

  13. All the companies fire when the situation demands them to do so.
    Remember none of them are running a charity organizations.
    For our satisfaction we might classify the companies into Safe and unsafe.
    But at the end of the day none are safe.

    But in lots of cases, MNC are better, they openly say that we are laying off our work force, comparatively our Indian companies fire on the pretext of BG Check, Non performance, Integrity and so on.

  14. Hcl is the worse of all… Please stay away from Hcl. For the past 2 months they are firing almost daily.

    Each day 4 to 5 people are loosing their jobs.

    Hcl Guindy office is known for its Firing.

  15. The most of the articles published in news papers and other magazines about good HR practices by companies is nothing but falsified claims. In most of the companies the HR is either understaffed or filled with people without relevant HR experiences. The policies are drafted and changed very frequently as per the whims and fancies of the few people. Employee harassment is common in most of the companies. If some one is dare enough complain, then he/she will be shown the doors. Even after knowing all these facts, the authorities are keeping silent.

  16. One of the most firing company is Salient Business Solutions limited. It’s part of AVANTHA group. Its hiring and firing rate is too high. It hiring that employees who has more experience in other company. But after hire they fire that employees who leave their previous good company within a month. It is request to all do not join this company.

    Who said HCL Tech is retirement company….
    Its the one of the worst company to work….
    Yeh i agree it was one of the good company to work but because of some managers especially in banglore HCL and who are working in SAP practice have made it worst company to work…

    My honest sujjestion to MR. Vineeth nayar is Just fire the Banglore BU head and other managers if you want ur company to reach top most postiion…
    and they are firing people without any notice period.. so guys think once before joining HCL Tech.. ur future is in ur hands

  20. you need to know about LG Soft India. this company is very famous for office politics and groupism from the beginning. HR department is also part of groupism in this company. if you are good performer you are noted person in the company and some politician will work hard to terminate your service. also your boss will work like competitor to you if you have high energy / enthusiasm and that person will use some cheap trick to remove you from the company. and if you complain about the cheap politicians to the korean people you will be marked like target and terminated.

    HELLO EVERYBODY – If you dont do something to remove or correct cheap politicians from such companies, the IT industry in this country is heading for a fall. People like Nandan Nilekani are imagining about india without knowing facts.
